FAITH with EVIDENCE - The Truth of Mission through Serving
Glorify God
Always focus on God. As we look up into the great beyond, we are inspired by the existence of the heavenly realm. We know there is much more out there than we know. The mystery of God, His universe, and His creations hold endless fascinations to mankind. Believers as well as unbelievers alike searching for answers in space and time wonder if God has other creations like us somewhere out there or what He has prepared for us in His endless domain.
As our knowledge in technology increases, we can project our imagination and hypothesis with exciting fictional scientific simulations seemingly real to our senses. Our imagination may be wide, but the possibility of the truth is narrow. We are created in God’s own image, the apple of His eye and intended heirs. The universe and all in His domain are components for His eternal purpose. Our speculative reasoning without God’s spiritual guidance will result in missing the glory of God and His promise. At the end all will fade away into the abyss like a dream. “You alone are the LORD; You have made heaven, The heaven of heavens, with all their host, The earth and everything on it, The seas and all that is in them, And You preserve them all. The host of heaven worships You.” Nehemiah 9:6
Since our separation from God, our carnal perception often obscures our spiritual perception of God. As we continue probing slowly into the universe, our effort, time, and energy in seeking the answers without focusing on God and His equation will not be rewarded. True answer can only be found through the perspective of our Creator.
From the beginning of time God has revealed Himself and His creation to us (Romans 1:20-21). Through His word, the Bible, God wants us to know Him and understand His plan for our salvation. “The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge. There is no speech nor language Where their voice is not heard.” Psalm 19:1-3
We glorify the only true God whose precept sets the absolute truth in all aspects of heavens and earth.
There is no other unknown intelligent force in the universe. Our God of love and righteousness is divine and unique. God the Creator defines His law with good and evil. Nature, time and all matters obey His rules.
In space and on earth by every indication, the end of time is approaching. When people turn away from God, evil is allowed to flourish. A nation abandoning God’s precepts permits destruction to fester from within spreading immorality like yeast. The devil blurs the truth and the line of discernment to support corrupt social behaviors with man-made laws deceiving many confused and unwilling participants. "If a ruler pays attention to lies, All his servants become wicked." Proverbs 29:12
Here are 7 ungodly behaviors to avoid. “These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.” Proverbs 6:16-19
“Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth, And put perverse lips far from you. Let your eyes look straight ahead, And your eyelids look right before you. Ponder the path of your feet, And let all your ways be established. Do not turn to the right or the left; Remove your foot from evil.” Proverbs 4:23-27
For the devil’s creed is to seduce the world to join him for his final destruction with evil duplicity exploiting human weaknesses of self-interest, pride, greed, vanity, and hate. The world repudiates God’s truth, tempting people to worship its worldly value of power, fame, and fortune. They indulge self-desires like addicts to drugs by denying the fact that poison can kill the body as sin can kill the soul. “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” Matthew 16:26
"Woe to those who devise iniquity, And work out evil on their beds! At morning light they practice it, Because it is in the power of their hand." Micah 2:1
Seek the truth in the word of God. Christ has prepared the kingdom of God for us from the beginning of time. "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue, and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things." Philippians 4:8
"Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper." Psalm 1:1-3
Christians glorify our God of love. God the omnipotent knows our difficulties in this world and empathizes with our despairs. Jesus Christ experienced firsthand all earthly injustice, cruelty, suffering, persecution, and death to resurrection for us. Our Lord foresaw the challenges we will face. Our mighty God does not just sit in heaven looking down on us judging our iniquities. The whole host of heaven is working endlessly for our good toward God’s plan in accordance with our free choice.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.” Ephesians 1:3-6
Our mission is to glorify God. “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.” Habakkuk 2:14
Glorify God when we love God and one another –
"By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." John 13:35

“And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.” Matthew 10:42
Glorify God when we mourn –
“Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4
Glorify God when we work –
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
Glorify God when we serve –

Glorify God when we are thankful –
“Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” Luke 17:17-18
Glorify God when we follow Christ –
“If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32
Glorify God when we share the word of God –
“It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4
Glorify God when we do the will of God –
“Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.” Matthew 25:34-36
The greatest joy at the end is to hear the voice of our Lord, “Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.” Matthew 25:23
